Choosing and editing email templates for campaigns
A well-designed email template saves time, keeps your brand consistent, and makes campaigns more engaging. In Sendigram, you can choose from ready-made templates or create your own.
1. What Are Email Templates?
- A template is a reusable email design that defines the layout, fonts, colors, and placeholders.
- Templates ensure brand consistency across multiple campaigns.
- You can customize templates for newsletters, promotions, transactional messages, or event invites.
2. Choosing a Template for a Campaign
- Start a new campaign or edit an existing one.
- Select from multiple options:
- Select from templates – here you can choose one of pre-made Sendigram templates or create a message from scratch.
- Upload HTML – here you can upload a ready-to-use HTML file, if you already have one.
3. Editing a Template
Once you've chosen a template:
- Open it in the Drag & Drop Editor (or HTML editor, if applicable).
- Customize content:
- Replace placeholder text with your message.
- Add images, logos, or banners.
- Insert buttons with links to your landing pages.
- Use personalization tags (e.g., Hi {{First Name}}).
- Adjust layout: add or remove blocks, rearrange sections.
- Save your changes.
4. Saving a Template for Reuse
- After customizing, click Save as Template.
- Give it a clear name (e.g., Monthly Newsletter Layout, Holiday Promo).
- Saved templates appear in your library for future campaigns.
5. Editing Saved Templates
- Go to Templates in the main menu.
- Select a saved template → click Edit.
- Make changes and save again.
- You can keep both the updated and original versions if needed.
FYI: If you delete a template that's currently used in one of your campaigns, it will remain in that campaign unchanged. To completely remove the template, you must go to the campaign where it's being used and delete it manually from there.
