Managing and editing your test email group

Testing is a vital part of every email campaign. In Sendigram, you can create and maintain a dedicated test email group — a list of internal addresses used to preview campaigns before sending them to real subscribers.

1. What Is a Test Email Group?

  • A test group is a collection of email addresses (team members, stakeholders, personal test accounts) used to send trial versions of your campaigns.
  • It allows you to check design, personalization, and deliverability before launching to your full audience.

2. Creating a Test Email Group

  1. Go to Contacts → Groups.
  2. Click Create a group.
  3. Name it clearly (e.g., Internal Test List or QA Team).
  4. Add your own email addresses and those of colleagues who should receive test sends.

3. Sending to Your Test List

  • When creating a campaign, go to the Contacts block.
  • Select your Test Group as the recipient.
  • Send the campaign to check subject line, preheader, content, and rendering.

4. Editing the Test Group

  1. Open Contacts → Groups → Test Group.
  2. Add new addresses as your team grows.
  3. Remove old or unused test accounts to keep the list clean.
  4. Edit details (e.g., names, tags) to test personalization fields.
