What happens if you skip or end onboarding early
The onboarding process in Sendigram is designed to help you get started quickly by walking you through all the essentials: setting up your account, adding contacts, creating a list, and sending your first campaign. However, you may choose to skip steps or end onboarding early. Here’s what happens if you do.
1. Skipping Individual Steps
- You can skip any onboarding step and continue to the next one.
- Skipped steps remain unchecked in your onboarding progress tracker.
- The corresponding features (e.g., contacts, templates, or campaigns) are still accessible from the main menu — you can complete them later at your own pace.
2. Ending Onboarding Early
- If you choose to exit onboarding before completing it, the system will stop showing the guided steps.
- The Onboarding progress panel remains visible on your Dashboard until all steps are completed.
- You can restart onboarding at any time by selecting Help → Onboarding Progress.
3. Features Still Available
Even if you don’t finish onboarding, you can still:
- Add contacts manually or via import.
- Create lists and segments.
- Design templates and launch campaigns.
- Access analytics and reports.
The only difference is that you won’t have the structured, step-by-step guidance.
4. Impact on Rewards
- If your account includes an onboarding reward (coupon code), you will only receive it after completing all required steps.
- Skipping onboarding or ending it early may mean you miss out on this bonus until you go back and finish.
5. Recommendations
- It’s best to complete onboarding in full if you’re new to email marketing or to Sendigram.
- If you’re already experienced, you can skip onboarding and jump directly into advanced features — but remember to finish it later to unlock rewards.
