Automation Settings Panel
The Automation Settings Panel in Sendigram EMS provides global configuration options for your workflow. While the Automation Builder lets you design the logic of your automation, the Settings Panel controls how the automation behaves — including re-entry conditions, connection visibility, navigation preferences, and scaling.
These settings are located in the right-hand panel of the Automation Builder interface and apply to the entire automation, not just individual elements.
Accessing the Settings Panel
You can open or close the Automation Settings Panel at any time by clicking the gear icon ⚙️ in the Builder's top bar or sidebar. When opened, the panel displays all available configuration options with toggles, dropdowns, and numeric input fields. If the panel is minimized, simply click the Settings icon again to expand it.
The panel contains several key options that influence automation behavior and performance.
1. Contact Re-Entry After Exit
Controls whether a contact can re-enter an automation after they've completed it once.
Enabled (default): Contacts who finish the workflow and later meet the trigger conditions again will automatically re-enter. Ideal for recurring workflows like seasonal promotions, loyalty campaigns, or regular newsletters.
Disabled: Once a contact completes or exits the workflow, they will never re-enter it, even if they trigger the conditions again. Useful for one-time campaigns such as onboarding or win-back sequences.
2. Wait Time Before Re-Entry
Defines how long Sendigram should wait before checking if a contact can re-enter the automation. This option appears only when Contact Re-Entry is enabled.
Configuration options:
- Choose a time unit: hours, days, weeks, or months.
- Enter a numeric value to define the delay (numbers only).
3. Show Connection Lines of Elements
Toggles the visibility of redirect connection lines inside the workflow canvas. When enabled, these lines visually connect related elements, such as branches created by Redirect or Split rules.
Turn this on when debugging complex automations or reviewing conditional flows.
4. Zoom and Navigation
Controls how you view and navigate your automation inside the Builder.
Features:
- Zoom Range: 50% – 200%
- Drag Navigation: Click and drag any empty area of the canvas to move around.
- Mini-Map (if enabled): Provides a quick overview of the entire automation; click to jump to specific sections.
5. Email Sending Volume and Frequency
Defines the safe sending rate for automations to protect domain reputation and ensure consistent deliverability. Although not set manually in the panel, this rule is part of the Automation Settings logic and applies globally.
Default Recommendation:
- Start with up to 500 emails per day.
- Gradually increase by 20% daily to warm up your sending domain.
Saving and Applying Settings
All changes in the Automation Settings Panel are saved automatically. You can also click Save at any time to apply modifications immediately.
Settings are applied to the current automation only; they don't affect other workflows unless you configure them separately.
